N60146

This is the plane, out in front of the hangar ready for a preflight to go flying. Purchased in late 1993 I have put just about 700 hours on this airplane in fifteen years. With 2045 hours on the engine and airframe the previous owner wasn't willing to spend the money to overhaul the engine. The pre-inspection showed the engine was running fine and the plane itself was sound but the radios were junk. There were two, one of which had tubes, and that was the better of the two. The owner was asking $10,000, I offered him $9,000 which he settled for minus the cost to get the radios working well enough to fly it. The radio repair work cost $250. So I'm saying I bought 146 in 1993 for $8,750. Some said at the time I stole it. The paint was oxidized so I spent a lot of time giving it the tender loving care it deserves. I have spent a lot of time with this airplane, some of it flying. I've made a lot of improvements to it over the years. It really needs a new paint job and that will happen although it may take some time.
