I'll Move the Airplane

I have a tow-bar that I connect to the front wheel of the airplane to pull it out of the hangar. Hangars are good for storage but we need to be out in the light for the preflight. I left the tow-bar on the airplane to take this picture, otherwise I never leave it like this. I generally assess my needs for fuel at this time and call for a fuel truck with my handheld radio before going about my preflight as it may take some time for the fuel truck to get around to me. Here is a photo of the tow bar connected to the plane.

Generally I meet my passenger the airport so I can get there early and do all the preflight duties uninterrupted. Kind of like airlines, we get in and we go. But if we drive to the airport together you need to be patient and let me do my preflight while you stand off to the side. This is not a time for questions as I don't want to overlook anything. I take my preflight seriously and take checklist when I walk around the airplane. The preflight only takes a few minutes.
