When 146 was first purchased it came without seatbelts or shoulder harnesses. In fact they weren't installed when I bought the plane in 1993. So, after a time I bought these nice seatbelts and harnesses. They are much like car seatbelts. I will help with putting them on as the loose ends can hang out the door if they are put on before the door is closed. Belt ends flapping in the wind at take-off really gets people's attention so I've heard. It has never happened to me. Here is a nice photo of my seatbelt and shoulder harness at the right seat.
I keep a water bottle between the seats as can be seen in the lower part of the photo.
