Check Overflow Opening

Fuel expands when heated. So to keep from pressurizing the tank an overflow vent is utilized. This overflow is protected from ice forming by its placement behind the wing strut. This opening to the tank also allows a small pressure to aid in the gravity feed to the carburetor.
