Check Tire and Brake

As I back out from the left door I check the left brake and wheel pant. I once found that the bolt on the outside of the wheel pant had broken through the fiberglass housing. That could have easily caused and accident. Those wheel pants get a lot of vibration out there on the end of the landing strut. The brake line is right there and rather exposed. I don't think it would be a problem landing on paved runways but on grass strips one could run into a little branch or so something and damage something. You sure wanting those brakes working correctly.

I've seen "NO STEP" decals that would look nice on the wheel pants. They are not sturdy enough for stepping on.
